MLM Prospecting Made Easy

Jan 15
2009

If you’re a MLM entrepreneur, you know that one of the most critical parts of your business is getting your opportunity in front of lots of prospects. MLM Prospecting for most new affiliates is not easy. In fact, most MLM affiliates never learn to be good at it and that is why the success rate in the network marketing industry is so low. With so many people failing in this industry it is understandable that so many people have such a negative opinions of MLM businesses.

Your success in network marketing is dependent on being able to find a constant stream of quality prospects to present your opportunity to. The top earners in the industry have figured out how to do this but unfortunately the great majority of MLM distributors have not.

So, what is the secret to MLM prospecting?

Let me begin by telling you what successful MLM prospecting is not. It is not making a list of all your friends, relatives and acquaintances. It is not going to the local mall to hand out fliers. It is not walking through parking lots and putting business cards on windshields. It is not cold calling purchased leads.

The most successful MLM entrepreneur’s, those making more than $20,000 per month, understand that successful prospecting revolves around building relationships. If you can first develop the trust and faith of your prospects then it is much easier to get them to take a serious look at your opportunity. That relationship building can take place online or in face to face meetings.

The best place to build this trust is in social networks. Social networks are about making friends and helping each other. There are online networks such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and Forums and there are business networking groups in your community and around the country that you can attend.

The key is to go into these networking circles and not try to sell your product. Instead, you should sell yourself by positioning yourself as a leader, giving away free advice and just making friends.

As you make friends, some will want to know more about what you do for a living. Those that are interested in your business will ask or, if online, may just click through to some of your other websites to learn more. This process of selling yourself, building relationships, and attracting others to you is called attraction marketing.

For those who can not easily get away from the home often, such as stay home mom’s or people with disabilities, the online networking rout can be very appealing. For those with a fear of technology, the face to face networking approach might be less intimidating.

For the majority of top MLM entrepreneurs, it is some combination of both. Remember, the key is in building relationships and making friends. Nobody wants to be sold.

MLM Business Owners, Are You Thinking But Not Growing Rich? The Truth About MLM Business Success

Jan 14
2009

MLM Business owners, more than any other industry, turn to self-help guru’s for inspiration and guidance. It is great to feel good about ourselves and to feel motivated to get out there and make something of our lives. The problem is that much of the advice MLM business owners are getting from many of these well meaning self-help guru’s just doesn’t work.

Millions of people have read “Think and Grow Rich” and it seems that there are a lot of people doing a lot of thinking but not a whole lot of growing rich. Are you an MLM business owner that falls into that category?   If so, I want to encourage you because your failure is not your fault.

You can succeed in life! You just need to hear the truth and seek out mentors who can lead you in the direction of truth.

Conventional self-help methodologies, of the past half century, have included techniques such as goal setting, dream building, self talk, visualization, daily affirmations and positive thinking. These things, in themselves, are not necessarily bad but they are mostly psychological quick fixes. When we use them, without knowing where true success comes from, we can cause irreversible damage in our lives.

If we keep repeating the cycle, of emotional highs followed by failure, after a while we just stop reaching for that better life. Too many failures will cause us to believe we do not have success within us.

Many MLM business owners experience this cycle of failure as they move from one opportunity to the next, expecting their current opportunity will be better than the last.  They do it until they have expended all their emotional energy and finally just give up and stop trying.

So, what’s the answer? What is the truth?

The truth is that success comes from within us. It is a passion that is driven by knowing what it is that we really want in life. It is a desire that comes from our heart not our mind.

Knowing what it is, in our heart, that we really want will provide us with an internal motivation. This internal motivation is far stronger than the external motivation we gain from the techniques being taught by so many self-help guru’s today.

Warning MLM Business Owners - Goal Setting Can Cause MLM Business Failure

Jan 14
2009

What I am about to say may come as a shock to many because it is goes counter to what most popular self-help guru’s and up-line MLM leaders teach.  It is that goal setting can cause MLM business failure.

Specifically, I am talking about making lofty goals that reach far beyond your current capabilities. Those involved in network marketing know what I am talking about. It’s one of the first things new affiliates are told to do, right along with making your prospect list.

As an MLM business owner, you’re encouraged to dream big when you set your goals, and then, to top it all off, you’re told to start acting like you’ve already achieved those goals. In other words, lie to yourself. But that is a topic for another day.

A few years back, or maybe more than a few, I was a pretty good wrestler.  I went as far as placing third in the US Olympic Trials and becoming an Olympic alternate. Just about every coach I ever had told me the importance of setting goals and so I listened to them. I had no reason to doubt that theirs was not good and accurate advice.

Let me tell you what I discovered several years after I ended my days as an athlete. Many great champions never paid much attention to goal setting, let alone writing them down. My goal was not to be an Olympic alternate; it was to be an Olympic Champion. Writing that goal down didn’t make it a reality.

I recently called up my good friend, Frank Famiano, who was the person who won my weight category in the Olympic Trials. I asked Frank, if during his wrestling days, if he set goals and wrote them down. His answer was no! How come I set goals and failed and Frank didn’t and he succeeded?

That story may be a little bit of an over simplification of the point because many more factors need to be thrown into the mix. My point is that many people achieve great accomplishments without setting goals and many people set goals religiously and fail.

Now, you may be wondering why I am writing an article criticizing goal setting. Well, it’s not that I have some kind of vendetta against goals setting or those preaching the merits of goal setting. The truth is, for many years, I have been a bit compulsive about studying success and learning why we succeed and fail in life.

It has been my intention to find out if there is one common thing that all highly successful people share. My discovery was that there is a common denominator and it’s not that they set goals, listened to subliminal tapes, engage in self talk or positive thinking exercises.

No; what all highly successful people have in common is a very intense drive to succeed. It is so strong that nothing can stand in their way. This is a passion that comes from their heart not their mind.

Goal setting, visualization, self talk and all these other conventional self-help methodologies feed the mind. They are psychological quick fixes. That, in itself, is not a bad thing but the problem is that those kinds of techniques will not create a strong enough motivation to keep you moving forward when the trials and obstacles are thrown in front of you.

How to Easily Generate MLM Leads With Your Own Lead Generating Machine

Jan 13
2009

If you’ve run through your warm market and you don’t know who else to talk to about your MLM business, there is good news. You can generate MLM leads yourself without leaving your home, with nothing more than your computer. Having strong tech skills is not a prerequisite.

With just a few simple pieces of technology and a little know how, you can generate an endless supply of MLM leads that are better than any you could pay for. That ability to generate MLM leads would solve the problem that causes 95 % of network marketers to fail.

Let’s look at that problem. The death to any network marketing business is to run out of quantity and quality of prospects to present your business opportunity to. When most MLM business owners reach that point, and it happens pretty quickly, they don’t know what to do next so they just get discouraged and quit.

Purchasing leads may have crossed your mind. Well, many MLM business owners spend lots of money on purchased leads just to find out that they are not very good. Most of these people also end up quitting but the difference is that they invested more money into their losing effort.

The best solution is a free solution. The best solution, for those serious about their MLM business, is to learn how to put together their own online marketing system that will generate MLM leads 24/7.

What I am talking about has nothing to do with your company affiliate site. For me, my company affiliate site is used for just one purpose and that is for enrolling new affiliates after they have already made the commitment to join.

The success of your online marketing system is going to rest on your ability to sell yourself. You must become a brand. That’s right, you incorporated. You must be able to first attract people to you before you can attract them to your company. I am talking about using attraction marketing principles online.

If you are not familiar with the concept of attraction marketing, it is that basic human nature dictates that people will be attracted to people of higher value.

The application of this in our marketing campaign is that we should position ourselves as leaders in the network marketing industry. Online, your objective is to create a marketing campaign that drives targeted traffic to your site. Once at your site, your visitors should be compelled, by your successfully positioning yourself as a leader, to opt into your email list. Getting people to opt into your mailing list is your goal and the way you generate MLM leads.

One compelling way to get prospects to opt into your list is to offer to provide them with addition information that will be beneficial to them and help them achieve success. Good copy writing is essential.

Successful network marketers, who make large five figure monthly paychecks, are presenting their business opportunity to 15-20 individual prospects per day. Does that sound like an incredible amount of prospects? Does it sound impossible? Well, it’s not when you create your own online lead generating machine.

What is an MLM Funded Proposal and How Can it Fuel Your Business?

Jan 13
2009

Because of the MLM funded proposal many network marketers are now creating great wealth on line. Without it, many would have been out of business within a few months.

So, what is it and how does it work. Quite simply, it is selling something to your prospects that they need, whether they join your business or not, thus generating income for you.

If you’re involved in a MLM business and you’re trying to build it online, you know by now that your cost of doing business is more than the affiliate fee you paid to join the company. You have website hosting fees, web page development fees, autoresponder fees, training courses, books and educational materials, various types of phone related services, transportation expenses to attend company events and much more.

These expenses can get into the hundreds of dollars per month. Unless new affiliates are successful in generating income very quickly, these expenses will put many of them out of business within a few months. This is where the MLM funded proposal comes to the rescue.

Let’s get a little more specific on how the MLM funded proposal is integrated into an online marketing program.

Most top earning network marketers, who build their businesses online, make use of a lead capture pages and an autoresponders. There is a bit more to it than that but for the purpose of discussing the funded proposal, we will focus on these couple things.

The purpose of the lead capture page is the get prospects to opt into a mailing list. This is accomplished by offering the visitors to the page some information of value for subscribing to the list, perhaps a network marketing training program of some sort. Once the prospect opts into the mailing list, the autorepsonder kicks in. The autoresponder sends out pre-written emails to the subscribers over a set period of time.

It is in this series of scheduled emails that the network marketing business owner can recommend products that can help the MLM prospects achieve success more quickly. The sale of these products generates income for the business owner and ,in a sense, funds his marketing campaign and business expenses. The information which is sold can either be created by the MLM business owner or buy someone else who pays an affiliate commissions to those selling the products. There are many products available to network marketing business owners, where they can earn an affiliate commission.

Smart network marketers will choose their products carefully, being sure to only sell products that they believe will truly offer value to their prospects. They know if they sell junk to their prospects, that they will no longer remain prospects as it would cause them to lose their trust and confidence.

A major component to having success in network marketing is to foster long term relationships with a large number of prospects. Therefore, network marketers should always seek to provide real value to their prospects whether that value is given free or through the recommendation of a great product.

In the end, the ultimate goal is to recruit more people to join your business opportunity and thus create for you a long term residual income. Having a good MLM funded proposal program can help keep you in the game, until you can see that goal accomplished.

Where the New MLM Leaders Play - Visit Their MLM Field of Dreams

Jan 05
2009

There is a new breed of MLM entrepreneurs and they are putting old school business building methods behind them.

MLM leaders today are playing in a whole new league, it the called the Internet. It’s an international league and there are many star players.

Slowly, the old stadiums are being torn down and new ones are going up. The new stadiums have all the bells and whistles and the player’s club houses have all the tools the players needs to succeed right at their finger tips.

It’s both sad and exciting at the same time

Oh, but the fans come out in the thousands, they visit their MLM leaders on their home fields. Today, the term field is often replaced with blog. Go figure? Fans hold up signs and shout words of encouragement to their favorite players.

Occasionally, some real kooks will show up. Some get rowdy and make a spectacle of themselves. Some even streak across stadiums tying to promote their own agenda. When that happens the security staff is usually quick to take care of them.

There are also a lot of great away parks that our leaders visit frequently such as YouTube Stadium, MySpace Yards, Twitter Memorial Coliseum and “The House that Zuckerberg Built”, Facebook Stadium.

Making the majors doesn’t come easy. These players had to work long and hard to develop their skills. They have had to master the skills of building brand identity, attraction marketing, copy writing, jv negotiations, article writing, capture page development, press releases, video production, article writing and so much more.

Players today do quite well for themselves. They generate several income streams. Many sign profit sharing contracts known in the league as affiliate agreements.

The MLM leaders have great fan clubs and they take care of their fans by sending them lots of great information. Of course, because of the size of their fan bases, they need to hire administrators to keep up with the daily fan follow-up. A couple of the best Fan Club Directors are Mr. A.Weber and Mrs. G. Response. It’s amazing how they find time to send out all those personalized emails everyday to so many fans.

The All Stars have incorporated their own names, sell their own product lines and run their own training camps. They get paid the big bucks and they deserve every penny.

This internet league is exciting and dynamic. Stars are being born every day and new stadiums are going up. They are truly playing on their field of dreams. They are having fun and watching their dreams come true.
